About SkyPicture

SkyPicture helps you discover what space looked like on meaningful dates. Choose a birthday, anniversary, or memory and see the NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day with clear attribution and usage guidance.

What We Do

SkyPicture is a non-commercial, copyright-aware NASA/APOD discovery tool. We surface NASA's daily space images with proper attribution, source links, and clear rights information so you can explore the cosmos responsibly.

How It Works

  1. Choose a meaningful date.
  2. View the NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day for that date.
  3. Check the rights and attribution information.
  4. Share the page or open the NASA source.

What SkyPicture Is Not

SkyPicture is not a marketplace. We do not sell, license, or commercially redistribute NASA images. We do not offer paid downloads, HD exports, merchandise, or print-on-demand services. The site is designed for personal discovery and attribution-respecting sharing.

NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day

The Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) is a website provided by NASA and Michigan Technological University. Each day, a different image or photograph of our universe is featured along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer. APOD has been running since June 16, 1995.
